Policies

Deposit: Upon making your reservation we ask that you pay 40% of the rental cost as a deposit. We accept checks, VISA/MC, Discover and American Express. Please mail checks to: The Vacation Company, P.O. Box 7471, Hilton Head Island, SC 29938.

Balances: The balance of the reservation is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. We accept checks, VISA/MC or Discover.

Rates: All rates are quoted by the week, except for 'long-term' rates which are monthly. RATES FOR EASTER, HERITAGE WEEK AND THANKSGIVING MAY DIFFER FROM PUBLISHED RATES. Rates are subject to change without notice. We will be glad to help you if you stay is less than a week. Villas have a 3 day minimum and homes have a 4 night minimum with the daily rate being one-fifth of the weekly quoted rate. Quoted or published rates do not include a $85 non-refundable administrative booking fee or any applicable taxes (currently 11%). A 1% gate pass fee is added to each Sea Pines reservation.

Cancellation: CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS LESS THAN 90 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL DATE FOR HOMES OR 60 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL DATE FOR VILLAS WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF DEPOSIT. IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THE 90 OR 60 DAY PERIOD YOUR DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUNDED MINUS A $85 HANDLING CHARGE.

Arrival/Departure: Check-in time is 4:00pm. Check-out time is 10:00am. These times must be strictly adhered to in order for us to have the properties properly cleaned and inspected for arriving guests.

Sofa Bed Linen: Extra towels and linen for sleeper sofas are provided at a charge of $25. To make this provision we must be notified at least 2 weeks prior to arrival date.

Express Check-in: As a convenience to our rental guests we send a check-in package 2 weeks before arrival. The package includes keys, maps, general information and car passes, if necessary. After 4:00pm guests can go directly to the rental property. Your signed rental agreement and payment in full must be received before the package is sent.

Occupancy: Occupancy of each home or villa is limited to the number of persons indicated in this brochure and on your rental confirmation. Any exception must be approved by The Vacation Company. ALL properties are Non-Smoking. Guest agrees that he or she is at least 25 years of age or older and will be occupying the premises during the dates requested.

Pets: NO PETS! We love animals but because of concerns such as flea control, allergies, etc. they cannot be permitted. If pets are discovered, rental will be forfeited and a charge of $200 will be assessed for flea treatment of the unit.

ADVANCE RESERVATION: Book in advance! If you wish to reserve the same home or villa for next year, your 40% deposit will guarantee your reservation.
