Hilton Head Island Area Map

Hilton Head Island often is referred to looking like a 'shoe' in appearance (with the bottom right corner being the heel). Hilton Head Island is located off the southern coast of South Carolina.  It is at the most southern point of South Carolina which borders Georgia.  Hilton Head Island is approximately 12 miles long and 5 miles wide encompassing 60 square miles.  Hilton Head Island is also the second largest barrier island on the eastern seaboard.  2nd to Long Island, New York.
